Bucks County Sportsmen's Coalition

The Bucks County Sportsmen's Coalition is a coalition of member gun clubs in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Coalition is in turn a member of the Keystone Firearms Coalition. The Coalition's activities include:

• Protecting gun owners' rights in court (in 1996, we forced the sheriff to cease the unlawful practice of imposing his own special requirements for obtaining licenses to carry firearms, and in 1986 we won the case Duff, et al. v. Township of Northampton, et al. No. 2915 CD 1986 in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, in which the Court overturned a municipal hunting ban, agreeing that only the Pennsylvania Game Commission has the authority to regulate hunting in Pennsylvania).
• Teaching gun owners the fundamentals of gun safety and personal protection. We run a combined course that results in participants receiving NRA training certificates for Home Firearms Safety and for Personal Protection. The price is low (it was $25.00 for the past course) and packs in a lot of information. Contact us for details.
• Politics--the Coalition is active in working to make sure that county officials keep our rights in mind, and is also active in various election campaigns for officials elected to the General Assembly and to Congress from within Bucks County. If you need to know where an official stands to help you make up your mind for election day, give us a call -- we know the answer.

Of course, all of these things cost money (especially the lawsuits). We are quite happy to accept whatever donation you can spare. Unfortunately, donations are not tax-deductible. Rest assured, however, that they will be used efficiently--all of the people who work on behalf of the Coalition are volunteers. We do not spend money on fancy dinners or celebrations, either -- every penny works to help defend your rights.
