Benjamin's 69 Grand Prix







Anywho it’s a 69 J…. 400+. 03, Utradyyne F15/16 solid, line bored, decked, studded heads & mains, ported with push rod bosses ground through and bronze guides pressed in place then pilot drilled, lifter feeds taped and restrictors installed. Lash caps, alum roller rockers and Lunati pushrods (custom length) set valve train geometry c/r is 11/1 and runs on pump gas with the help of a custom Griffin aluminum radiator. MSD with locked out distributor and adj. timing control (starts and runs 34 degrees with 02 ga. cables and Optima deep cycle battery) Fuel system uses Morroso return regulator log, Q-jet (6 pick-up tube with idle tube kit CC rods and adjustable secondary vacuum break) Braded stainless lines, A.N. fittings, and Carter electric race pump mounted on frame rail. Intake is port-matched dominator with 1/2" spacer. Converter is ATI treemaster (10") Trans is turbo 400 w/ rev. manual Winters valve body. Rear is 12 bolt with c- clip eliminator and 3.73 gears Wheels are Boyds 17 x 8 and 17x 11 with 245 45 17 and 305 45 17 Addco sway bars, Bilstein shocks. It sticks like glue (body, upper and lower control arm, and sway bar bushings are all urethane) and the ride is just fine.
