Today, I took the transmission cover and front housing off. Resealed them making gaskets out of gasket material. Installed my rear tranny seal, then cleaned up the tranny and painted it. I then bolted the new pressure plate with the clutch onto the flywheel. Next I bolted the tranny to the motor.

Well today was the day. It was a real HOT one, about 94'F. I haven't any idea what it was in my driveway, but it was HOT!! I finally removed the tranny crossmember and removed 30 years worth of grease, dirt and oil. I then sandblasted it and then painted it Chassis Black. Then I jumped into my swimming pool and played with the kids for a while. It just got too HOT!

After being in the pool, I sort of got refreshed, so I decided to put the engine and tranny into the car. It is now bolted in place. I seem to be getting some room back in my garage.

Spent most of the day cleaning up and straightening out my garage. I was able to get my universal joints onto my driveshaft. Then called it a day. It just got to HOT. 92'F in my garage with the fan on. If I keep this kind of work going, I'll have to air condition my garage.

Cleaned up all the clutch linkage, painted it, and then installed the linkage with some new purchased parts and then adjusted it. Cleaned the starter and transmission dust cover and they are now waiting to be installed.
