Today I installed the starter, headers, and my new engine wiring harness along with a new 12vdc external voltage regulator on the firewall. I then disassembled my Hurst 3 speed shifter, cleaned and relubed it and then installed it along with the shift linkage. Later, I cleaned, sandblasted, and painted the power steering pump, horns, windshield wiper motor, and some other misc. parts.

I sandblasted the mounting brackets for the power steering pump and alternator and then painted them black. I got the alternator and power steering pump installed along with my new high pressure PS line.

Today, I sandblasted my power brake booster and painted it with the Eastwood Golden Cad paints. I have to admit, it looks really sharp. I then installed the remaining brake lines. I purchased an oil and water temp. gauge set to mount under the dash, and at this point, the water sensor is now installed. I was trying to decide if I should clean and sandblast my distibutor and decided to make a call to a local auto parts store. I was able to purchase a COMPLETE distributor for $30, not bad. I also purchased the PS return line.

Sorry to say, I havn't done to much actually on the car. It's just been to damn HOT!!! We are in a drought warning here in PA. All the grass is brown. Trees are starting to lose their leaves. Looks like a 98'F October day here.

About my front fenders. Here we go. I thought I found an auto-body shop, back in April, but it took 3 months of conversation to finally get my fenders back ONLY to be just media blasted. This past week I found another shop that now has my fenders and valance panels. I guess I'll give it another shot. Not much else I can do..

Today was a pretty decent day out, but it did get a little warm towards the end. I managed to get my new distibutor installed along with custom cutting of my Accel spark plug wire set, installed the new chrome valve covers, both heater hoses and fuel line hoses. I removed my power steering gearbox because I had noticed the input shaft (steering) had a cracked oil seal. Installed the new seals and then reinstalled the gearbox.

I was planning to go the the Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie, Pa. today. It is a 3 day weekend car show event that features all makes and models in a close to as original new condition, BUT it RAINED. We NEED the rain here in PA., but WHY today?!!! Oh well, there's always NEXT year!!!
