I got a call this past week. My parts are all rechromed. On my way to get my parts, I was running a bite late, so I tried to make up some time. To make a long story short, I was actually making up time until!! A State Trooper decided to hit me with his radar gun. I got caught doing 71mph in in a 55 zone in my 85 Blazer. I told him "I didn't think it went that fast!" He said "It Shouldn't!!" That was a bill I didn't need!!! Oh Well... My wife said My first ticket after 18 years should have been in my Grand Prix!!
Finally got to pick up the parts and they look pretty good. Some still had some pits, but what can you do with 31 year old diecast metal. The turn signal bezels, headlight bezels, came out GREAT.. The mirror looks good except for a couple pits.
Stopped by the shop.. They have the doors back on my Grand Prix to align and rework the front fender fabrication.

The hood is now back from being bead blasted and looks Great! The deck lid is completed and is now on the car. Both front fenders are completely refabricated and the passenger fender is ready for the final paint.
The shop will be finishing the hood and driver's side front fender this coming week.

My car is now scheduled to get painted on May 22nd. I am having it painted the original Antique Gold which is now called Olympic Gold, Dupont # GL5010KH. This color was only on the GM 69 Pontiacs and 69 Cadillacs.
I now have my car scheduled for another shop to do the headliner. Thanks for the feedback on this, from the e-mail list, guys!

Stopped at the shop today to see my car, but it was GONE!!!! It is now at another body shop to receive the paint and clear coat.. It is next in line!! It will then go back to the original shop for next Saturday, the 27th.. The next time I see it, it will be all painted!!

Went to see my car at the shop, but it wasn't there!!! They told me it was still at the other body shop and they only had the jambs painted. Needless to say, I was a bit dissapointed...
Apparently, they were waiting for a call from the autobody shop to let them know the status.
They then said to me "Lets go take a look at the jambs" "See if the color is right".. When I got
there, the car was in the paint booth, much to my surprise, COMPLETED!!!
