Today I managed to get both rear emegency brake cables hooked up to the new rear axle. Also finished the fuel lines and brake lines. Had to connect the rear brake hose to the frame and then connect the new stainlees lines to the rear wheels. I purged and bled all the brakes. Then I installed the driveshaft. Called it quits!! Got to Hot and humid, AGAIN!!!!

I have been debating on putting this on the page?!! Well, when I had gotten my car home a few weeks ago, I had noticed that it looked like something had been spilled on the top of my "Beautiful" radiator support. I had the top looking like a mirror!! Anyways, whatever it was, caused the paint to ripple. One area was about the 2" by 3", and two other spots were the size of a quarter.
Well, today I sanded the top again, and then proceeded to repaint. Wouldn't you know the new paint was causing a crinkle finish all around each spot.. DAMN!!! I said... I ended up using paint remover to the whole top of the support. Then I reblasted the whole top. OK NOW!! Ready to try this again!! Started to repaint, again, and my spray gun started to act up. It started to "Spit Out" globs of paint!.. DAMN!!!! So, I decided to clean the spray gun. I put the aluminum jar back on, what I thought was on, and picked up the gun, and the jar decided to fall off. The last of my paint was in that jar!!! DAMN!!!! "No Good Rotten !%&*! ^(*&!!!!!".... Cleaned the last of my paint from the floor and called it a day. I started on this at 9:30AM and shut down at 3:30PM!!!!! Now, I'll have to resand the top, and try repainting AGAIN!!!! Wish me LUCK!!
I guess this is ALL Part of the HOBBY!!!! huh??

Today was a pretty good day. I was able to clean and paint my fixed 5 blade flex fan. Much to my surprise, this is a stock fan from Pontiac. I was able to install the radiator, fan shroud, water pump pulley, fan belts, and upper and lower radiator hoses.
I was also able to install my "new" rebuilt Rochester 4 bbl carb., It was rebuilt by Holly.
I put the new Pontiac Chrome valve covers on, installed my distributor cap, along with Accel 8mm
wires that have a straight plug connection. Added oil and water.. Boy, does that motor look
sharp!!!

I bought a new gas tank and sending unit. Managed to clean and paint it black..
Ran into another slight problem! I had the shop install a new trunk floor, including all braces. When I went to mount the New tank straps, the notch in the brace that accepts the tank strap, is not quite right. I need to nibble some sheet metal, so the strap can accept the bolt, or else drill 2 new holes in the strap!

Today I was able to connect the speedometer cable to the tranny, fill the transmission up with 80W-90W gear oil, and then mounted my new stainless steel rocker panel moldings. Had a suprise visit from Dan in Walnutport, that owns a white 69SJ 428. It was nice seeing him again. Called it a day. Had some grilled burgers and sausage and went to see Fireworks!!!!

Installed my passenger side front window. I cleaned and polished the stainless trim and attached the new weather strip, then mounted the trim to the door. Installed the new door rubber weatherstrip, polished the inner door handle, and then reassembled the door panel. The passenger door is now done!
Still had some time left in the day, so I washed down the inside of the car. Then I installed
the rubber-like floor insulation. I then got the new rear carpet laid into place for trimming.
