July 25, 2001

After work today, I went over to Bob's shop and loaded up my motor, to take home. Wouldn't you know, we we would have a major downpour!! The lightning was great!! Got it home, and let it sit in my Blazer overnight.

July 26, 2001

Glad the cold front made it through! I was able to unload her from my truck and get the motor mounted on the stand.

July 27, 2001

Took the day off from work! I got the whole motor all buttoned up today! I finished the night out by getting the motor off the stand and mounted to the engine crane.

July 28, 2001

This morning, along with my son Chris, I got the flywheel, pressure plate and clutch mounted to the motor.

After getting the tranny and the Headers mounted, which are "ole" Blackjack 3 tube, she is ready to go in!

Spent the rest of the day, bolting and installing. Called it a day around 9:30pm! Still need to bolt up the starter, clutch linkage, 3 speed hurst shifter, driveshaft, and exhaust.

July 29, 2001

Well, today I managed to finish the install. I got the driveshaft up, clutch linkage, the flowmaster exhaust hooked up to the headers, speedometer cable, hurst shift linkage, and then installed the distributor and wires. Added the rest of the oil, and filled her up with water.

Ready to Fire her up, AGAIN!!!
