Bob, from the shop, and his main engine man, Art, came over to my house to Fire up the motor. These guys are really Great!! You can't even get a doctor to come to your house these days!! Anyways, we poured some gas down the carburator throat, and then turned her over. Fired right up!! We let the motor run at 2500 rpm for about 15 minutes. She purred like a tiger!! Until....
I started to here this noise!! It sounded like a header gasket leak!! DAMN!!!! It turned out to be an intake manifold gasket problem only on the passenger side.

Came home from work and removed the intake. Found out I used the wrong intake gaskets. The complete engine set came with two differant sets. Unfortunately, I used the ones with the smaller exhaust crossover hole. Should have been the larger one. Both heads have the small port and so does the driver side of the intake manifold.
It took me about 3 hours and then fired her up again. All FIXED!!!

Bob and Art came over to my house again and rechecked the rocker arms. Popped on the valve covers and then mounted that massive hood. I took her for a ride, and she Purred like a TIGER!!

Spent the whole day giving her a bath and a wax job. Detailed under the hood and cleaned the
interior. I couldn't believe it, but it looks like I will make the
Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie, PA.!! I registered
for this show back in February!
