Came home from work, and removed the pressure plate, clutch, and pilot
bearing. Measured the clucth to be a 10 3/8" - 10 spline. Went to a local
auto parts store to order some more parts, water pump, master cylinder,
alternator, and the clutch components.

Thursday morning, I dropped the transmission off to get overhauled, before
going to work.

I finally found a Body shop to media blast and paint most of my front end
parts. The fender wells and radiator support. So tonight, I loaded up my
Blazer to drop them off in the morning on my way to work. It seems its
getting harder to find a shop that is willing to work with you. Some said
they would only do the whole car. Yea Right?? BIG BUCKS!!!! I think I might
open a shop just to do media blasting and primer/painting of JUST PARTS!!!

At lunch time, I found another body shop and talked to them about my
fenders and header pipes. He said he could do it.
Later that day, I received a call from the guy doing my bumper rechrome.
He told me that the front bumper was to far rusted to rechrome.
Well, later that evening, I got the fenders loaded into my truck, and
then took the brackets off my 2nd front bumper. I loaded that into the
truck, too.

Dropped the bumper off before going to work and dropped off the fenders and
headers at lunch time.
Came home from work and listened to my voice mail. My 3 speed transmission
is completed and can pick it up Saturday, and the parts store had my water
pump, clutch kit, and alternator, that I had ordered.

I loaded my front and rear valance panels and the headlight brackets.
Dropped them off at lunch time to the same auto body shop, where I took
my fenders. He told me he could also do the doors and deck lid, if I wanted
to drop them off. I'm not sure yet. The car is sitting outside.
It sure is GREAT when you find somebody willing to work with the
amateur car hobbyist.
