The shop called, during this past week, so I went this morning to pick up my transmission. They told me they didn't find anything wrong. They gave it a complete checkout and cleaned it up.

Well, it took me pretty much of the whole day to do my radiator. I cleaned it up using a fine wire brush on the drill and then spent much time on straightening some bent fins. Washed it, and then spay painted it black. It looks like a brand new radiator.

The remainder of the day, I took the universal joints off my driveshaft and cleaned it up. Those universal joints were the originals with 138,000 miles on them and they didn't really seem bad.

Spent all day cleaning motor accessory brackets, pulleys, the hood hinges, and started cleaning the front frame.

Worked on the front end, since it was a great day. Took off the power steering gearbox and shaft, dropped the steering linkage and idler arm, removed the tires, calipers, rotors, back plates and removed the stabilizer bar. Cleaned the firewall and frame.

I ordered an internal spring compressor to remove the front coil springs, and the upper and lower control arms.

Didn't get much accomplished yesterday, Saturday, not feeling to good. Came home with a fever of 102, stuffy head, ETC, Friday night. But today I was feeling a lot less tired, and had no fever, however, my throat is just not right yet. Dry, raspy cough.

Today, I was able to try out the spring compressor. It worked like a champ. Removed the upper and lower control arms and spindle. Cleaned up some parts, loaded up the truck with the upper and lower A-frames to have the balljoints and bushings removed, and called it a day.
