1969 GRAND PRIX Engine Production and Codes
The Model "J" Package came standard with a
400 cu. in. 350 horsepower V8
The Model "SJ" Package came standard with a 428 370hp
and had the OPTION of this
428 cu. in. 390 horsepower V8
Two other motor options were a 400-265 horsepower, and a 428-370 horsepower V8
The differance is a lower compression ratio
