I got married in September 1987 and had my 78 Cadillac in the Wedding Parade. I had rented a Black Cadillac Limosine for the day. The wedding was at 11 AM, pictures at the rose garden, and then the reseption for 6 PM. Well, my Limo driver was anxious, and told me he wasn't aware it was going to be so long. So I made a deal with him and he left our apartment around 3 PM. My wife said "Did you get my purse and the other stuff". I said "WHAT". So I raced after him, right back to the Limo place.

I got the STUFF and went back home to the apartment. It was a MIRACLE, everything went smooth except for that, until 12 midnight. We were driving back to the apartment and my 78 Cadillac decided it had enough. It blew a heater hose. I guess it was JEALOUS. I had 6 miles to go. The "CHECK ENGINE" light came on about 3 miles from home and then the "STOP ENGINE" light came on about 1 mile from home. That engine was HOT. I had to push harder on the gas peddle to keep it running. OH ----!!!!

We pulled into the apartment complex and just looked at each other... We were steaming pretty damn good. It was like "THE FOG".

The next day I effected the repairs. Wouldn't you know, it HAD TO RAIN!!

Well, we got to where we wanted to go, and 2 days later the starter WENT SOUTH!!!! Luckily we Honeymooned in the Poconoes. I was able to get it started, drive home, and make the repairs, then I went back to my Honeymoon suite. The car gave me constant trouble after that!!! GO FIGURE!!! This was like "CHRISTINE".

I started to become paranoid driving that car!!! Every now and then, only when my wife was with me, the transmission would slip into 1st gear from park or reverse. This went on for 5 YEARS. I sold it to my Dad for $600 in 1993, then the transmission died!! along with the alternator!!

He has since put in 2 transmissions, a catalytic converter pipe, and then the motor started to run rough!! He tells me occasionally how he fixed the problem, but IT WOULD COME BACK!!! My MOM wants him to "GET RID OF IT!!!".
