In May of 1992, I sold my 79 K5 and bought an 85 K5 Blazer. It also
had power everything. It had a puppy 305 cubic in. motor with headers and
dual exhaust. Boy did I MISS THAT 400 Motor. I had to mash my foot to
the floor to get it to go. Well, it saved a LITTLE gas. It also had the
700R4 transmission. It is a 4 speed automatic with a locking torque
converter, to SAVE GAS.
It was now time to think about raising a family. We got news with
my wife's first ultrasound, on January 2 1994, that we were going to
have TWINS!! I just saw dollar signs!!!! including getting a 4 door FAMILY
car.
I found a 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham in April. It came with all
the options. To bad it has a small 305 cubic in. (5 liter) motor. Another
puppy. It is dark blue with a dark blue leather interior. We then mounted
the car seats in the rear for the kids.
On April 22, 1994, my wife gave birth to identical TWIN BOYS.
ooooohhh boyyyyyyyy, MORE CARS for me to fix.
Since then, my 85 Blazer has been keeping me buzy.
If you read about
My 85 Chevy K5 BLAZER Project
,you will see why I bought another 87 Cadillac Fleetwood Brogham in
October 1998. It is identical to my other one, but in much better condition.
It is steel blue with a dark blue velour interior.
Currently, I am still in Electronics with a recent career move, December 2000, into a
Manufacturing Engineering Technician Position, within the Engineering Group, at a local area
company. I now have a combined 20 years experience in Electronics Testing, Repairing, R&D, and
Test Fixture Design, building, and implementing, into the manufacturing processes. My new and
current position, relies on all of my past experience, plus always learning new, to stay abreast
with current technologies.
The 2 Cadillac Broughams and Chevy Blazer are both fully loaded with
options.
Boring!!!
I NEED SOMETHING WITH " MORE POWER "
