My 85 K5 BLAZER Project

By: Charles E. Giannetta

Sunday, October 11th, I had my parents over for a visit. On their way home, my Dad decided to take a differant course. As he was driving he saw this BIG steel blue Caddy. He turned around to take a look at it.

Monday I called the shop and they said they should be able to get it up on the lift before noon. Well, I called Tuesday morning, they said it BLEW APART pretty good. They had to replace the entire case. He also told me the torque converter that came in, was the wrong one. So I should be able to get it Wednesday after work, if all goes well.

Meanwhile, Monday night, we loaded up the kids and took a look at this Cadillac my Dad saw. When we got there, I saw my wife really liked it. Well if all goes well, I should be able to have it in my driveway by the end of next week.

It is an 87 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, with 61,000 miles on it. The color is like a steel blue, with a dark blue velour interior. The car was a one owner. The fellow who owned it, passed away. It is like showroom condition. When the guy said that to me on the phone, I thought "WELL, WE'LL SEE". I checked it over pretty good. He told me I would not be able to find another one like this.

He was firm on his price, so then I scrutinized the car right down to the factory spoked hubcaps. There was not a scratch on them. WOW!! That's what it was that really sold me on the car, was the care it had received. It was always garage kept since new.

My wife can't wait to get this car. It really is a sharp looking LAND YACHT with every Do-Dad you can think of, AND IT ALL WORKS!!!!

Maybe something will go MY way for a change. Cross your fingers.

TRANSMISSIONS can DIE at ANYTIME!!!
