First nice Saturday here in Pennsylvania in a long time and I decided to do an oil change on the 69 GP. I use Valvoline 10w40 and the filter is an ACDelco PF24. Had to take her for a ride afterwards!

Last fall, 2002, I was at a show, and saw a 69 Corvette Stingray with the Chevy 15" rally wheels. The trim rings on it looked very similar to the Pontiac Rally II's I got from Ames Performance. After talking around, I found Stoudt's Corvette in Reading, PA., and paid them a visit. I brought my 14" trim ring and my 15x8 in. rally II wheel to see what I could find. It looks like the best match is a GM Corvette trim ring #03923626. These trim rings are stainless steel and have 4 clips that grab the bead area on the wheel.

The picture on the left below is a P245/60R14, mounted on 14" x 7's, with the Pontiac 3.0" deep trim ring for the fronts, and the picture on the right, is my newly purchased P275/60R15, mounted on 15" x 8's, with the Corvette 3.25" deep trim ring, for the rears. The outer lip is slightly differant, but it takes a skilled Pontiac eye to catch the differance, especially when the wheels are 118" apart!!

While I was at Stoudt's Corvette, I also picked up a new Master cylinder, Raybestos # MC39018, for my 69GP, that is actually for the late 60's Corvettes. I had replaced mine, with one that looks like a rectangle, however, the 69's were rounded on the ends. In 1970, the GP, started the rectangular style master cylinder.

Just picked up my new Wagner # 54-71106 power brake booster. Now I have to get the paint to do both the master cylinder and booster. I decided to get the new booster since mine was the original. Not really sure how good the internal rubber diapragm is, and I don't really want to find out when I need the brakes in the worst way!!
