THM 400

The THM-400, first appeared in 1964, on GM's Cadillac and Buick, and was the ONLY automatic used on the Grand Prix for 1969. It was a very durable transmission and got the "400" in its name, based on the nominal amount of torque capacity it could handle, which is 400lb-ft.

Today, they are in much demand for the Hot-Rodders and Drag racers!

If you give them regular maintenance, they should last forever!

This Transmission was an OPTION for the 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix

M13 3 Speed Manual

This transmission came as "Standard" on all 1969 Grand Prix's

Saginaw and Dearborn both made the 3 speed manual, but the Dearborn was ONLY used in the 1969 Grand Prix line. The gears are housed in a basically indestructable cast-iron housing. It is fully-synchronized in all gears, except the reverse gear, which is in constant mesh.

M20 Wide Ratio 4 Speed Manual

This transmission came as an "Option" on all 1969 Grand Prix's

Saginaw, Borg-Warner, and Muncie, made the 4 speed manual, but the Muncie was ONLY used in the 1969 Grand Prix line.

M21 Close Ratio 4 Speed Manual

This transmission came as an "Option" on all 1969 Grand Prix's

It is identical to the M20, but with different gear ratios
