You took me to my ballet lessons, and watched me do my twirls.
You taught me how to ride my bike and got me all the things I liked.
And as I grew older you were there,
with all my problems you helped me bare.
You gave me memories I won't ever forget, the happy ones and sad,
and when my day had all gone wrong, you chased away the bad.
But now your job is in the way and I don't see you every day.
The memories have gone away,
although I still think of them along the way.
I loved you then; I love you now,
I'll still love you tomorrow.
And when my day is sad and blue you'll chase away my sorrows.
I'm daddy's little girl.
