Review by Angelique Revelle
DMX released his most recent album, "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood," on Dec. 22. It may or may not be as good as his last album, but in the words of Daniel Boone Middle School students, "It's banging."
Not only does the music sound good, but the front cover looks very artistic (as do his others). There's no doubt that DMX is popular around here; he's definitely a Ruff Ryder. Pleased with "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood," DBMS students will anxiously await the next DMX offering. I doubt they will have to wait long, because as talented and skilled as DMX is, he'll have something new out before you know it.
I really think the eighth song, "It's All Good," is the best one on the CD because it has a good beat to it and not only that, DMX makes the words flow perfectly. He never raps too fast or too slow. But what appeals to me the most is the beat; that's what I like most about his rap music. In my eyes, DMX is a natural-born rapper. He has the look, and most definitely the voice. When I hear his music, I can tell that he doesn't just throw words on a piece of paper and say them real fast; he puts a lot of work and effort into it. He has the type of style that draws people into his music and music videos, and not a lot of rappers have that talent. I know that what he has planned for the future will make more people want to listen to his music. But all there is left to do is wait for the Ruff Ryding, skilled rapper, to complete something more and exciting for us all.
