The Flyers can grab the Cup

At the All-Star break, the Flyers had a record of 23-10-10, and 56 points. They scored 131 goals and had given up 86. I think they can make it to the Stanley Cup finals, but this is what they must do:

Trades -- The Flyers should trade Luke Richardson and Dainius Zubrus. Luke Richardson has no goals in the last 57 games and he turns the puck over a lot. Zubrus is better than Richardson because Richardson is a figure skater, not a hockey player. All he does is turn the puck over.

Editor's note: This column was written before the trade that brought Mark Recci to the Flyers. When asked about the trade, the author of this column said, "See, I said all along they should trade Zubrus."

Goaltending -- I think the Flyers should only rotate goaltenders Ron Hextall and John Vanbiesbrouck when they lose a game or start off a bad game.

To reach the Stanley Cup -- Right now the Flyers are on a pace to reach the Stanley Cup, but they have to find a way to beat the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, and the Buffalo Sabres. The Flyers have to get past the Red Wings and Stars defenses. The Flyers can beat the Sabres, but they have to find a way to score on Dominic Hasek.
