Officer Alan Fay has found a home here at the middle school.
By Shannan C. Burke
Thirty-four year-old Officer Alan Fay, a patrolman for the Birdsboro Police Department and head of the Daniel Boone Middle School's D.A.R.E. program, has been a dream of this school for years.
With no regrets, Officer Fay enjoys time with children in and out of the school's classrooms. Anyone can tell you he is a lot of fun, but when it comes time to being serious, he means business.
After graduating Athens County High School he
chose to go to college. His choice? Indiana University, where he
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology. His favorite part of
patrolling is observing people, but he still loves to be with his
wife and children.
