The Kragmeister's Armory

Here is a shot of me shooting a Steyr-Mannlicher M1895 Stutzenkarabiner. It is an original WWI era Austro-Hungarian short rifle intended for use by Alpine troops. It is chambered for 8x50R.

One of the main reasons why I collect antique military arms is because they are a physical connection to the past.  My main area of interest is in American imperialism.  Not that it is a good thing to subjugate less technologically advanced civilizations, but because during the period of our American Empire of a century ago our nation was at it's best.  We had recovered a sense of unity lost during the Civil War and had a certain boldness that has since been lost.
