1972 Honda C70M-K1

This is a memorial to my first motorcycle.  It was stolen by juvenile felons in January 2002.  So far I've gotten about half of the court ordered restitution money from one of them.  I'll never see the other half as the other (then 14-yr old) is awaiting trial for attempted murder.

No kidding, this was applied by a previous owner to a shock
absorber on my 1972 Honda C70M-K1, my how politically incorrect.

And this is a photo of my "Pidgeon Wing", 72 cc's of screaming fury! It had rested in a neighbor's storage shed for 18 years, uncovered and mainly used as a shelf for storing bags of fertilizer. The crud probably served to protect the paint as it did not fare to poorly, and having a crankcase full of oil helped preserve the motor.

It took quite a bit of work on my part, and help from the friendly folks at the parts counter down at Link Cycle Service in Coopersburg, PA to get this running.

Here is another photo of the Pidgeon Wing, this is more recent and shows the leather saddle bags which I installed. The bags came from Blackman's Cycle in Emmaus, PA and 1" nylon webbing and buckles came from a local hardware store.
For added carrying capacity I've added something completely different for the C70....a used Samsonite travel trunk!  I bought this gem from Scooter Therapy of Madison, WI.  It is way oversize for the Super Cub style bike, it looks like it may have been intended for a GL1000 or some such.  However, now it is easier to haul my lunch to work!

This is the custom mount that I made for the trunk....note the fine woodwork acquired from the lid of a crate.

And to those who mock me, call my bike a "moped"  and tell me to "Get a Harley!", I say fear the wrath of Cthulhu!
