78. William8 Wescott (Richard, #121) was born in 1700.100 He married Dorcas Skillings (see #79), daughter of Samuel Skillings and Rhoda Hally, circa 1725.100

He settled with his wife Dorcas on 'Skillings Hill' in Scarboro, Maine.100

80. Preserved8 Partridge (Benoni, #125) was born on 13 Mar 1708/9 in West Medway, MA.68 He married Cathrine Armstrong (see #81) on 10 Nov 1737 in Medway, MA; Other Children: Azuba, Rosina, Rhoda, Jesse, Zipporah.103,68 He died circa 1785 in ME.

He settled in Holliston, MA. He seems to have been a landholder in the neighborhood of Bungay in 1754, and may have resided in town a few years; for according to Rev. Mr. Frost's records of Baptism, Preserved had two children baptized here: Jotham, bap. 27 May 1750; Zubah, bap. 18 Oct 1752. In 1754, what was later called Camp St. was first laid out, and Preserved Partridge is mentioned in the record as one through or by whose land the street ran. He probably came from Holliston, staid a few years, and returned; or else he took himself to some other locality. Nothing more is said of him.104

82. Joseph8 Conant Jr. (Joseph, #127) married Anna Shackford (see #83) on 10 Jun 1762.107 He died on 27 Jun 1816 in Portland, ME; while there as a witness for a trial.107

92. Henry8 Knight Jr. (Henry, #139) was born on 5 Mar 1733/34 in Newbury, MA.115 He married Mehitable Sawyer (see #93) in 1755.116,117,115

94. Rev. Thomas8 Pierce was born on 11 Oct 1737 in Newburyport, MA; of Scarboro, ME.80 He died on 26 Jan 1775 at age 37.80

95. Joseph8 Storer married Joanna Graves (see #96) on 15 Mar 1764.79,80 He died in 1777 in Fishkill, NY; of smallpox.79

He enlisted in the revolutionary army from Falmouth, Maine, for three years. He served in Capt. Nicholas Blaisdel's company, Col. Edward Wigglesworth's regiment. His widow was granted land for his service.79

Children of Joseph8 Storer and Joanna Graves (see #96) were as follows:

96. Joanna8 Graves was born say 1737; date is estimated from the 100th anniversary newspaper clipping of her death.79 She married Joseph Storer (see #95) on 15 Mar 1764.79,80 She died on 16 May 1836 in Portland, ME.118,79

97. Ezekiel8 Bradford (Ephriam, #141) was born in Nov 1728 in Kingston, MA.8 He married Betsey Chandler (see #98), daughter of Philip Chandler and Rebecca Phillips, on 21 Jul 1750 in Duxbury, MA; Intentions filed 21 Mar 1750.8,119 He died on 26 Sep 1816 in Turner, ME, at age 87.120 He was buried in Upper Street burying ground, Turner, ME.21

He and his wife Betsy Chandler of Duxbury, Mass., lived in Kingston. They emigrated from Kingston to New Gloucester about 1782, and soon afterward to Turner, then called Sylvester plantation. They settled on what was later known as the Justus Conant farm where they lived and died.

The following is from the pen of the late Dr. Philip Bradford of Turner, relative to his grandparents, Ezekiel and Betsy.

"Notwithstanding the hardships and privations incident to new settlements, they persevered with Christian fortitude and their labors were crowned with abundant success. She rendered herself eminently useful as a midwife, often traveling many miles seated on horseback going through footpaths in dense forests, climbing over mountains and fording streams, guided by the light of a lantern carried by a pedestrian at her side. At other times, mounted on a wide sled with horses attached and driver mounted as a postillion driving Jehu-like through deep snow."21

98. Betsey8 Chandler (Philip, #143) was born on 21 Oct 1728 in Duxbury, MA. She and Ezekiel Bradford (see #97) filed marriage intentions on 7 Apr 1750 in Kingston, MA.124 She died on 24 Oct 1811 in Turner, ME, at age 83. She was buried in Justus Conant Farm, Turner, ME.

99. John8 Weston (Jonathan, #145) was born on 17 Feb 1728/29 in Kingston, MA.85 He married Marcy Samson (see #100), daughter of Peleg Samson and Mary Ring, on 29 Jun 1749 in Kingston, MA.125,126,127,128 He died between 1813 and 1814 in Hebron, ME.129

101. Asa8 Rose (Gideon, #149) was baptized on 4 Jul 1742 in 2nd Church of Scituate, Scituate, MA.132,133 He married Marcy Harvey (see #102), daughter of Seth Harvey and Rebecca Townsend, on 15 Apr 1766 in Berkley, MA.132 He died on 26 Oct 1814 in Greene, ME, at age 72.76

He and Marcy Harvey came from Taunton, MA, and settled in in Greene, ME, circa 1790.

Children of Asa8 Rose and Marcy Harvey (see #102) were as follows:

102. Marcy8 Harvey (Seth, #151) was born on 1 Oct 1741 in Berkley, MA. She married Asa Rose (see #101), son of Gideon Rose and Lydia Turner, on 15 Apr 1766 in Berkley, MA.132 She died on 1 May 1815 in Greene, ME, at age 73.

She and Asa Rose came from Taunton, MA, and settled in in Greene, ME, circa 1790.

103. Caleb8 House was born circa 1740. He married Elisabeth Randall (see #104) on 12 Jul 1759 in Duxbury, MA.134

106. Olive8 Jellison (Alexander, #155) was born in Berwick, ME. She married Benjamin Goodwin (see #105), son of Benjamin Goodwin and Sarah Hearl, on 2 Dec 1773 in South Berwick, ME; by Rev. Jacob Foster.136,137

107. David8 Nichols (David, #157) was born in 1735. He married Phebe Chase (see #108), daughter of Philip Chase and Hannah Buffum, on 12 Nov 1754 in Salem, MA.92,140

He settled in South Berwick, Maine married Phebe Chase of Swansea, Mass. Children of David and Phebe Nichols all born in what is now South Berwick in the place occupied by David N. Goodwin (1883) owned and occupied by George H. Cheney in 1933.21

109. Stephen8 Pope (Eleazer, #161) was born circa 1719. He married Mary Buffum (see #110), daughter of Joshua Buffum and Elizabeth Beck, on 27 Mar 1746 in Salem, MA.144,92 He died on 9 Oct 1765.

110. Mary8 Buffum (Joshua, #163) was born on 8 Jul 1723 in Salem, MA.146 She married Stephen Pope (see #109), son of Eleazer Pope and Hannah Buffington, on 27 Mar 1746 in Salem, MA.144,92 She died in Jul 1788.

111. Lemuel8 Richardson (Amos, #165) was born on 19 Sep 1726 in Coventry, CT. He married Anna Rust (see #112), daughter of Capt. Samuel Rust and Sarah Hawkins, on 20 Aug 1747 in Coventry, CT. He died on 22 Apr 1777 in Coventry, CT, at age 50. He was a soldier of the revolution and was buried in cemetery at foot of Silver Street, Coventry, CT.

He was a Minute-man under the command of Captian Benjamin Houghton in Col. John Witcomb's Regiment.

Massachusetts Archives CLXXXI, 73, is a petition of Elisha Houghton, a Lancaster Massachusetts man in Captian Hastings Company alleging that he was in the battle of Bunker Hill and helped Jacob Davis, who was wounded, off the battlefield.

Records can be found in the History of Lancaster, Massachusetts, and in the Houghton Genealogy compiled by John W. Houghton, A.M. of Wellington, Ohio, and in the family records in 1776. He was military event Rev War Pension number S39725.152
