245. Stratton, "Edmund Weston", 71:44 - m. (1) ca 1695-7, a daughter of Thomas Delano and his wife Rebecca2 Alden (John1), probably named Deborah Delano. Evidence for her first name is flimsy, but because she has sometimes been confused by secondary sources with her daughter, Deborah Weston, it seems plausible to think that some of the confusion could have been due to their both having the same first name..

249. Stratton, "Edmund Weston", 71:44 - d. Duxbury or possibly Plympton in 1736.
250. Stratton, "Edmund Weston", 71:52 - perhaps a dau of John Weston and his first wife, Deborah Delano, born possibly at Duxbury circa 1698. "Rebecca can only tentatively be assigned to this weston family, for the evidence is insufficient for her to considered a probable daughter of John2. The fact that she married in Duxbury a man from Dartmouth would indicate that she belongs to the Duxbury Westons. She is too young to be a daughter of Edmund1 Weston and too old to be a daughter of any of his grandsons; therefore, she would seem to be a daughter of on of his three sons. But she is not named in the will of Elnathan2 nor in the probate documents which name the children of Edmund2. Nor would she seem to be the child of an unmarried Weston mother, for there is no available possibility amoung Duxbury Westons. That leaves John2, whose first wife Deborah Delano was a daughter of Rebecca2 Alden, and thus Rebecca3 Weston carries a name from her putative family. John and Deorah were probably married about 1695-7, and Rebecca was possibly their first child, for if she was bborn much later she would be quite young to be getting married in 1717. All other children of John2 are at least included in family tradition, but possibly the fact that Rebecca3 left Duxbury early for Dartmouth, and her dying young would account for her being left out. The child born before the marriage might also have had significance (or may have been just a recording error in Dartmouth). Nevertheless, the evidence si too scanty to be considered preponderant..
