Adam's wife was possibly the daughter of Carl Michel of Rehbach, near Michelstadt, Prussia, where Anna was born.

• History: In 1605, Calvinism was introduced to the Hessen region of Prussia. In 1618 the disastrous conflict which came to be known as the Thirty-Year War was instigated, a war that left Germany in ruins, depopulated and starving, and the Holy Roman Empire had became a hollow shell. This district in Hessen came to be known as Darmstadt, a contraction of the term "Die Arme Stadt (the Poor State)," after the village of the same name founded in 11th century, and a designation accurately depicting the hopelessly unstable economic conditions in the Odenwald which would last until 1741.
Hans Seeger was a councilman of Hausen, as was his father, and was the royal Hessian winemaker or vineyard master of Lichtenberg. Probably had other children.

Thirty years after the birth of Protestantism, and in the period known as the Lutheran Reformation, the earliest known antecedent to date in the Sager genealogy was born in the Odenwald region twenty miles south of Frankfurt, Germany. From the church records of Gross Bieberau, and reproduced in a "Schafer-Mertz Family Book," it is known that his name was CASPAR SEEGER, a councilman in the village of Hausen, today called Niederhausen.
