Notes on the Family Tree

by Ed Penland

I am trying to make this family tree as complete as possible. The difficulty is that "Family Tree" isn't really the proper description of what makes up a geneology chart. One has to pick a starting point, (i.e. an individual or couple) and branch both downward (with their offspring) and upward (with their ancestors). Every time a person married, that brings a new lineage into the family tree and that makes doing a COMPLETE family tree virtually impossible.

That being said, any research I do will mostly be centered around MY grandparents (both ancestors and offspring). I will, however, add any other lineage related to the names on the list I've compliled to the web site in the form of links, provided it is e-mailed to me. If it in the form of a link, I will just add the link, but if it's in the form of a document, I will convert it to the appropriate internet code and store it on line and link to it.

If you have any information on people related to the people on the family tree posted here, please e-mail the information to me. Please include the name of the person that the information is for, (please describe the relation well enough for me to find it) your e-mail address, and your relation to the family.

If there is a link to someone that is listed as "m." which is married into the family, the link will be to additional geneology pages. A link to someone born into the list is to an additional information page for that person.
