Sheer Joy
For Christmas 2005, Valerie gave Ed a Korg Mixer/Recorder. This gave Ed the ability to record and mix songs at their house. So, for
our second CD, we thought we'd be able to do a lot more recording and thus only have the best of the best songs for our next on.
However, this didn't happen. Ed and Valerie got married in June of 2006, and with all the wedding preparations, moving, selling a house
and everything else, we didn't get as much done as we would have liked. While John's songs are still wonderfully done, and Ed had a
couple of good ones, Up on the Roof,
Amazing Grace - Instrumental and Love Me, the rest of Ed's
songs, he admits, are ranging from pretty bad to down right awful. Bob was also going through a change of life and
is conspicuously absent from the second CD. He was probably lucky that he didn't add to our worst CD.
The CD got it's name from the photograph on the cover. This is a photo of Cotton, playing her game of running toward you and then at the last possible second, turning away and passing you only to do it again from the other direction. For a 15 year old dog to show that much enthusiasm in a little game, it just shows what "Sheer Joy" really is.
