Probabaly one of our most distinctive Boletes. The bicolor stem (yellow over red) is stongly reticulate. The bright red cap is viscid and the pores are red, often with a yellow exudate. All parts turn blue after bruising. Found throughout our woods in abundance during the hot summer months.
